History and Tradition | It was used by the ancient Egyptians as a component of kyphi: myrrh embodies the energy of our planet, has a calming and reunited with the earth. Fumigation with this resin were considered able to reconcile the spirit weary and confused. |
Information | There are about fifty species of Commiphora but the most widely used for the production of myrrh is Commiphora myrrha. Myrrh is partially soluble in water so it is also possible to use it in essence burners with the candle, putting a few grains in the water. |
