History and traditions: The plant from which this resin is extracted was used in African ethnic medicine for gastrointestinal problems, rheumatism and other ailments. In ancient traditions it was known for its relaxing and harmonizing effect which leaves a pleasant feeling of cleanliness.

Information: This resin tends to char so it is ideal to remove the grains as soon as they start to turn black and replace them with new ones. Another solution may be to pulverize the resin before burning it.
