Boswellia dalzielii is the West African species of the frankincense genus. It is used in ethnomedicine to treat gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatism and various diseases of microbial origin.
The resin when burned produces a fresh and penetrating aroma with shades of mint and citrus. The effect is relaxing and harmonizing and leaves a pleasant feeling of "cleaning".
Since the resin tends to carbonise is ideal to remove the grains as soon as they start to become black and replace them with new ones. The effect is clear if you pulverize the resin.
